Sunniva is a Scandinavian name that means: a gift from the sun.
This Sunniva was originally the visual aid I utilized while welding the Sunniva that stood in Grandview Square Park in Edina Minnesota for 2 years (2012-13). It was never intended to be cast in bronze, in fact, I almost destroyed it. But, the feedback I received on the welded steel Sunniva was so positive I saw the opportunity to transform the sketch into a completed work and cast it in bronze.
